Throughout the years, we have invested not only in our foundation but in our team as well, as the people behind the products are critical to the Company’s success. Our leadership team today comprises professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, both within and outside of the body armor industry, as well as former servicemen who understand the needs of the customers we serve.

  • Jim Henderson
    Chief Executive Officer
    Bio Jim Henderson has served as a board member of Armor Express since 2016 and in January 2018 became Executive Chairman, following Armor Express’ merger with KDH Defense Systems. In this role, he will be overseeing all aspects of the Company’s operations and executing the vision to grow Armor Express into the leading supplier of protective solutions in the industry.
  • Matt Davis
    President - Founder
    Bio Matt Davis has spent most of his career in the body armor industry and is the founder of Armor Express, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of protective solutions for Domestic and Federal law enforcement, the U.S. Armed Services and international law enforcement agencies. Since the Company’s founding in 2005, Matt has been intricately involved in all business operations, setting the creative vision for the Company, recruiting and building the leadership team, and overseeing sales, marketing, finance and product development, while spearheading business development initiatives.
  • Patricia Malone
    Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer
    Bio As both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Armor Express, Patricia is involved in virtually all aspects of the Company’s business operations. She oversees financial planning and budgeting, as well as pricing strategies with respect to Military, Government and Law Enforcement proposals. She also is responsible for overseeing Operations at the Company’s manufacturing plant in Central Lake, MI, working with the team to ensure Lean & Six Sigma implementation, facility optimization, compliance, safety, and quality.
  • Glenn Wiener
    Chief Strategy Officer
    Bio Glenn Wiener, through his consultancy practice GW Communications, began working with Armor Express in October 2016, providing business oversight, marketing support and public relations counsel. His team focuses primarily on corporate and executive brand building, while Glenn provides insight and competitive intelligence to support the Company’s growth initiatives and expansion plans.
  • Rick Rardon
    Director of Carrier Research & Development
    Bio As Director of Carrier R&D, Rick leads all non-ballistic product development efforts, including the design, material sourcing and implementation of new technologies, while collaborating with Sales and Marketing to develop innovative concealable, overt and tactical carriers and related nylon accessories. As a Reconnaissance Marine Veteran, Rick brings a wealth of military and product design knowledge to Armor Express.
  • Jonathan MacNeil
    Director of Ballistics Research and Development
    Bio As Director of Ballistics Research & Development, Jonathan oversees the advancement and execution of Armor Express’ ballistic R&D initiatives, including new product innovation; the design, analysis and testing of technical materials and applications; process improvements; quality assurance & safety; and project management.
  • Enos Bacon, Jr.
    Plant Manager
    Bio Enos currently serves as Plant Manager and is responsible for the implementation of Lean manufacturing practices, inventory and quality control, as well as production, tooling and plant report monitoring. He oversees the daily operations of Armor Express’ Central Lake, MI plant, including planning, organizing, staffing, and regulating production and maintenance.
  • David Jones
    Director of Federal Sales
    Bio David leads Armor Express’ Federal Sales initiatives, which include sales strategy, client management and overall market expansion programs. In this capacity, he is intricately involved in product development initiatives and 3rd-party channel management, ensuring the highest-performing protective solutions for all of our Federal law enforcement customers. He is the lead manager serving the Department of Homeland Safety (DHS), including the prestigious agencies within, such as the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs Border Protection, Transportation Security Administration, Federal Protective Service, U.S. Coast Guard, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He is also the lead manager supporting other Federal agencies including the U.S. Marshals Service, the U. S. Secret Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration, among others.
  • Frank Flores
    Regional Sales Director
    Bio At Armor Express, Frank leads the Company’s Law Enforcement sales and business growth initiatives for the Western United States. As a highly-experienced sales manager, Frank has spent the last two decades working closely with the law enforcement community to ensure their body armor needs are met with the most innovative and safest protective solutions. He is the consummate professional with an outstanding work ethic across operations management, sales & marketing, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Mike Lee
    Regional Sales Director
    Bio In his role as Regional Sales Director, Mike is responsible for leading all sales initiatives and managing dealer relationships across the Eastern United States and a portion of the Mid-West. Mike comes to Armor Express after spending the past four years at Elbeco, where he most recently served as National Sales Manager.
  • Steve Murphy
    Tactical Channel Manager
    Bio In his role as Tactical Channel Manager, Steve oversees development of Armor Express’ channel partner network and the expansion of next-generation programs that enable the marketing and sales teams to drive strategic messaging, more effectively rollout products tailored to respective markets, and increase opportunities for revenue generation. He works closely with senior management to define and establish objectives and best practices, as well as tools for measuring the engagement and interaction with partners across the various regions. He leads the targeting, recruitment and overall advancement of channel programs.
  • Brian Murphy
    Saves Program Manager
    Bio Brian Murphy joined the Armor Express team in 2013 after serving with distinction for over 20 years as a sworn Law Enforcement Officer. Before retiring from active duty, he held the rank of Lieutenant at the Oak Creek Police Department in Wisconsin. Throughout his law enforcement career, Lt. Murphy has worked in the areas of Homeland Security, Emergency Response, Emergency Management, Drug Enforcement, Warrants, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Interrogation, Investigation, Evidence Management, and Field Training. Demonstrating his extraordinary bravery and swiftness of action, regardless of his own personal safety, Lt. Murphy was the first responder to the Sikh Temple massacre of 2012 and engaged the assailant head-on, ultimately sustaining fifteen handgun rounds to his body, with an additional three rounds being stopped by his Armor Express concealable body armor.
