Returns & Alterations Policy

DEFINITIONS: 

  • Standard Product – A product included in Armor Express’s commercial product catalog or current price list.
  • Non-Standard Product – A product not included in Armor Express’s commercial product catalog or current price list. Non-Standard products include, but are not limited to, special order products and products which have been designed or customized to meet unique end user specifications.

30-DAY CONCEALABLE ARMOR CUSTOM FIT GUARANTEE

Armor Express offers a 30-Day Custom Fit Guarantee on all standard concealable carrier vests and soft ballistic panels. We will alter or exchange concealable body armor free of charge if the armor is received back by Armor Express within thirty (30) calendar days of the original invoice date (ship date from Armor Express). 

To be eligible for the 30-Day Concealable Armor Custom Fit Guarantee, Customer must have been measured using one of the following approved sizing methods: 

  • Fitted with official Armor Express Sizing Vests 
  • Measured by Armor Express Representative 
  • Measured by Authorized Armor Express Distributor Representative 

If one of the sizing methods listed above is not available to you, please contact Armor Express Customer Service PRIOR TO placing your order at (866) 357-3845 or rma@armorexpress.com to conduct a virtual sizing consultation. This will ensure proper fitment of your armor and keep your 30-Day Custom Fit Guarantee intact. 

If Customer self-sized or was measured by a non-authorized person, Armor Express will perform alterations at customers’ expense. 

RULES & RESTRICTIONS: 

  • Garments must be returned in “like new” condition. Armor Express reserves the right to deny claims if garment is returned with stains, rips, or excessive wear. 
  • Garments must be received by Armor Express within thirty (30) calendar days of original invoice date (date shipped from Armor Express). 
  • Armor Express will not accept any returns of any Non-Standard products or unique agency specification carriers. Once orders for these items have been sent to production, they cannot be returned or exchanged. CONCEALABLE ALTERATIONS AFTER 30-DAY CUSTOM FIT GUARANTEE PERIOD EXPIRES

Customer is responsible for all alteration/exchange costs if the concealable armor/carrier is not received back by Armor Express within thirty (30) calendar days of the original invoice date (ship date from Armor Express).

  • All Alteration Fees will be charged up front once Customer provides approval to move forward with alterations.
  • All Alteration requests are subject to a $25 shipping fee.
  • If Customer chooses not to move forward with recommended alterations once products are in Armor Express’s possession, Customer will be responsible for $25 shipping fee to return original garments.
  • ARMOR TOO LARGE:
    • BRAVO soft body armor panels and carrier vests that are too large may be trimmed (altered) 1” in length and 1” on each side (for a total of 2” in width) on each panel. Alteration Fee is $50 per panel.

      EXAMPLE 1:
      Only front panel needs to be trimmed
      RMA Fee Structure:

      Front Ballistic Panel ($50)
      Front Carrier Vest Panel ($50)
      Shipping Fee ($25)

      TOTAL RMA FEE: $125
      EXAMPLE 2:
      Both Front/Back panels need to be trimmed
      RMA Fee Structure:

      Front Ballistic Panel ($50)
      Rear Ballistic Panel ($50)
      Front Carrier Vest Panel ($50)
      Rear Carrier Vest Panel ($50)
      Shipping Fee ($25)

      TOTAL RMA FEE: $225
    • Alpha-sized soft body armor panels that are too large cannot be trimmed and new panels must be manufactured. Therefore, Customer will be charged full price for a newly made ballistic panel set.

      • Replacement fee structure is as follows:
        • Full cost for new soft armor panel/panel set
        • If Armor Express has the correct sized carrier vest in inventory, we will exchange the carrier vest for Customer at no charge. Otherwise, Customer is responsible for full cost of replacement carrier vest.
  • ARMOR TOO SMALL:
    • Soft body armor panels (Custom- or Alpha-sized) that are too small cannot be trimmed and new panels must be manufactured. Therefore, Customer will be charged full price for a newly made ballistic panel set.
      • Replacement fee structure is as follows:
        • Full cost for new soft armor panel/panel set
        • If Armor Express has the correct sized carrier vest in inventory, we will exchange the carrier vest for Customer at no charge. Otherwise, Customer is responsible for full cost of replacement carrier vest.

OUTER/TACTICAL/K9 CARRIER VEST RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  • Armor Express will accept returns/exchanges on all standard outer/tactical/K9 carrier vests and soft body armor products within thirty (30) days from original invoice date (date shipped from Armor Express). No returns or exchanges will be accepted after this period.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs to return product to Armor Express
  • Armor Express does not accept any returns or exchanges of any Non-Standard products or unique agency specification carriers. Once orders for these items have been sent to production, they cannot be returned or exchanged. HARD ARMOR (HELMET, HARD PLATES, AND SHIELDS) AND BALLISTIC BLANKET RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  • Except in instances of Armor Express error, Armor Express does not accept any returns or exchanges of any hard armor products, including helmets, plates, and shields, as well as ballistic blankets.
  • Once orders for these items have been accepted by Armor Express, they cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged.

HOW TO SUBMIT AN RMA CLAIM:

To ensure a smooth, swift process of your RMA Claim, please follow the steps outlined below. Failure to follow instructions will result in a significantly extended timeline to process your RMA. If armor was purchased from an Authorized Armor Express Distributor:

  • Please contact Armor Express Distributor your armor was purchased from. They will submit an RMA claim on your behalf.

If armor was purchased directly from Armor Express:

  • Complete the Armor Express RMA Form in full:
  • An Armor Express Customer Service Representative will review your form submission and either accept your claim or contact you to address any questions.
  • Once your claim is processed, Armor Express Customer Service will email you a prepaid shipping label (if applicable) to submit your garments for official inspection.
  • Customer ships affected products to the following address for official inspection:

    **IMPORTANT** RMA Claim approvals and prepaid shipping labels are valid for 15 business days. Once an RMA Claim approval has expired, the shipping label provided will be invalid and a new claim must be submitted. The 30-Day Custom Fit Guarantee period for Armor Express products will not be extended due to delayed product submission by customer.

  • Once official inspection is completed, Armor Express Customer Service will contact customer with our findings and discuss options and associated costs (if applicable) to resolve your claim.
